Function

In the case of access points with two wireless modules, one

module implements communication of the access points with

each other. The radio link for the stations, e.g. a mobile crane

system, is established by the second wireless module. Wireless

coverage of larger areas can therefore be provided with the

same device.

In the case of SCALANCE W786, this only concerns access

points which can, however, be configured as client modules

through Web-based management. Then, depending on the

selected variant, a maximum of one radio module will be avail-

able as a client.
