Inter SSID Communication check box

Selecting this check box allows communication between WLAN clients registered

as defined with different SSIDs for

at different SSIDs of an access point.

Example 1:

A SCALANCE W788-2xx w

each of the wireless cards.

Example 2: A SCALANCE W788-1xx is used with multiple SSIDs.

Note

On a SCALANCE W788-2xx, the Inter SSID communication function must

enabled on both WLAN interfaces or on all VAPs to allow communication between

the clients with different SSIDs.

Note

If VLANs are configured for the SSIDs, this setting can prevent communication

between the SSIDs according to the VLAN rules.

Intracell Communication list box

● Intracell blocking

This setting prevents WLAN client communication within an SSID.

● Ethernet blocking

This setting prevents WLAN client communication over the Ethernet interface

of the access point.

● Disabled

This setting enables both WLAN client communication within an SSID as well

as WLAN client communication over the Ethernet interface.
