On the front of the housing, several LEDs provide information on the operating sta-

tus of the SCALANCE W744:

The LEDs have the following significance:

LED Color Meaning

Yellow Data transfer over the Ethernet interface (traffic). P1

Green There is a connection over the Ethernet interface. (Link)

L2 Green Power supply over hybrid connector X1. (PoE or power con-

tacts)

Yellow Data transfer over the WLAN interface. R1

Green There is a connection over the WLAN interface to an AP or

ad hoc network.

Green flashing The client is searching for a connection to an access point

or ad hoc network.

Green flashing

quickly

The client is waiting for the adopt MAC address. Only in

Auto Adopt mode.

L1 Green Power supply over the M12 connector. (X2)

F Red An error occurred during operation with the

SCALANCE W744.
