The following components are supplied with the SCALANCE W744:

● SCALANCE W744-1PRO

● 2 OMNI antennas

● 1 IE IP67hybrid connector

● 1 dummy plug for the M12 socket

● 2 dummy plugs for the R-SMA sockets

● 1 SIMATIC NET Industrial Wireless LAN CD with these Operating Instructions

for the SCALANCE W744

Please check that the consignment you have received is complete. If it is not com-

plete, please contact your supplier or your local Siemens office.

Requirements for Installation and Operation

To configure the SCALANCE W744, a PG/PC with network attachment must be

available. If no DHCP server is available, a PC on which the Primary Setup Tool

(PST) is installed is necessary for the initial assignment of an IP address to the

SCALANCE W744. For the other configuration settings, a computer with Telnet or

an Internet browser is necessary.
